BBC Radio 2 Debut for Varese’s Wandering Star Band
Varese-based band Wandering Star made their worldwide radio debut today (Sun 10th March 2008) on BBC Radio 2’s “Good Morning Sunday” a programme that celebrates both British choral tradition and the vibrant world of modern music playing spiritually uplifting and reflective music.
Delighted with the cover songs that the band recorded exclusively for the programme, 27 year-old vocalist Luisa Bertolatti said, “It’s very surreal to be sitting in bed with a cup of tea, listening to yourself on such a prestigious radio station as BBC Radio 2.”
The band’s 26 year-old classical guitarist Simone Folador commented, “We would like to thank all the musicians who collaborated with us and hope that we gave the listeners a spiritually uplifting start to the day with our edited and ethereal version of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’.

Thoroughly enjoyed this version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. Nice to hear a female version that can stand up against KD Lang’s masterpiece.
